ICSB Doctoral Consortium

The ICSB Doctoral Consortium (DC) is a fantastic opportunity for PhD students from around the globe to develop new social networks, present their research, engage with local stakeholders, learn about how to navigate the academic job market and how to publish, and to participate in an innovative project to potentially earn authorship on an academic publication!

In addition to a traditional academic conference (yes, you will still submit a paper and present it) you will attend a series of workshops and socials to build your network. You will work with local stakeholders, other doctoral students, and a faculty mentor on research project that runs throughout the week, with some responsibilities prior to and after the conference. Each team will have a lead faculty mentor and lead doctoral student. More information to follow for those interested in applying to the Sydney DC.

To Apply

  1. In the application, in 350 words or less, please describe why you want to participate in the Doctoral Consortium and how you think it may benefit you, as well as your current affiliation, supervisors (committee members), and your stage in your PhD program. Please note we seek a diverse group so ALL enrolled in an accredited PhD program are eligible to apply.
  2. Also, please submit an abstract of 200 words or less on an academic paper you will submit and subsequently present at the conference.
  3. Then, in 200 words or less, please describe your research interests (not just entrepreneurship, what type, or something complementary or different, please be specific!). This will help to finalize the DC project.
  4. Finally, please list your top three things you would like to see or do in Sydney, Australia

There are several other mentors who are co-leading this doctoral consortium, and your application will be reviewed by a committee.
